My Experian score dropped 14 points in one day. Three account balances decreased, one balance is zero. I requested a CLI on my AMEX card and it was increased by $1000. Today, MyFICO shows Experian dropping my score by 14, WTH!!!! Anyone have any insight? Thanks.
Experian has been very weird recently. One contributor on this forum mentioned EX going through a massive hiring training phase so are a bit slow on the ball. My initial thought would be something about credit utilization since that and payment history is your two score hitters. Maybe check those?
Utilization is at 27% and usage is very good. I was expecting an increase, not a -14.
Are you reporting a small balance on one card? You can be hit with the all zero penalty if not. Did you pay off an installment loan or anything? If so, that is no longer reporting and could cause a drop.
I zeroed my CapOne and BoA cards. My AMEX increased by $1000, but I zero that out as well.

Then you're getting hit with the all zero penalty if those are your only open cards.
