Experian update time frame after ECMC sends update?

An old student loan collections agency (ECMC) said they've sent an update to credit agencies regarding my account status.  They said this happened on Feb 02.  I believe them because my TransUnion report infact shows this update (and my score jumped like 70 something points).

Experian has not seen anything.  The account still shows the last update was from Jan 23.

So question: could Experian take time to see this update? Even though it's been weeks?  Also, all my credit cards have reported as they should and so have my other accounts.

Is it possible that Experian could take time to update from certain places but not the others?

FYI, the account is paid and closed as of Dec.

Re: Experian update time frame after ECMC sends update?

I don't know but my student loans take the longest of all of my accounts to update with regular monthly reporting.   My servicer reports on the last day of the month but I don't see it reflected on my reports till sometime between the 11th and the 15th of the month.    Transunion is always the first to update my student loans (tho they are last to update my revolving accounts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ), followed by Experian, then Equifax.

Also -- I'm not sure how you're getting your Experian updates -- but myFICO never alerts me to changes for student loans on my Experian or Equifax; but I do receive updates from myFICO for student loan changes on Transunion... again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.      I also monitor through the Experian service which is how I know when my student loans finally get updated.

So -- maybe give it a few more days and if still not udpated, ask your servicer to re-report to Experian only.  I don't advise disputing tho.

Yes, I don't want to dispute at all.  That is one of the reasnos why I am in this mess in the first place (disputed because Experian AND ECMC both told me to).

I guess I will give it till the end of the month for good measure and go from there.   I am very close to just filing a dispute with the CFPB.

Try to wait it out... CFPB can take up to 60 days to get resolved...so it'll likely update on its own before then.
