FICO Score Simulator Question

Can someone tell me if the FICO Score Simulator can project how my FICO score will change by having a collections removed from my report?  I know it does this for missed payments and other related FICO activities.  Thanks.

Re: FICO Score Simulator Question

No it does not.  It also does not do a good job of calculating when CO's will fall off CC.  It only assumes credit improves with age

Revolving debt and age mostly. I haven't seen any other predictions calculated in. I would like them to add in installment debt.

Re: FICO Score Simulator Question

If you want to see what your scores would be like if you had never had a collection, or if it's removed or falls off, try the score estimator, not simulator:

http://www.myfico.com/FICOCreditScoreEstimator/Estimator.aspx

This is a way of seeing what might happen if you GW off some lates, or if you had never had that 90-day, etc. I call it my time machine! A fun way to kill some time and get inspired.

The score range is even more broad than the sim, and of course, it's no guarantee, but it will give you an idea. When you enter data like how many inqs you have, use the info that's only on one report. So if you have 8 inqs, 4 on EQ, 1 on TU, and 3 on EX, just use 4 (or 1, or 3), not 8 when it asks how many inqs.
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007
