Hello everyone!
Im new to this forum, and to understanding my credit in general (sadly) I have just recently begun the process of rebuilding/monitoring my credit. I have been reading all the wonderful information on here and trying to make sense of it all. I think ive got a pretty good handle on it so far. I currently have 5 bills in collection from medical bills that I was unaware of according to SW. How do I go about contacting or obtaining the account numbers/ amounts from the correct collection agency? One credit report lists them under one collection agency, another report lists the same amounts/dates from a different agency. I was reading on here that I would want to send a DV letter before doing anything but I am unable to do that since I don't know who currently holds the debts. I would like to get these settled or removed if possible. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions id love to hear them. Hopefully I wrote this correctly and do not sound totally lost and confused about the world of credit (lol) Thanks in advance!
For CA info, pull your CRs directly from the CRA or annualcreditreport.com. Third-party report providers, like myFICO, don't show the entire report info.
