Does Anyone Know This Answer I Had Fico Monitoring My Credit For 7 Years And My Score Was Good 757 Then I Switched Over To Bank Of America And Didn't Open My report I Just Figured It was The Same That Was In April I Just Opened It And To My Horror They Dropped My Score To 600 And I Have Called ANd They Are no Help What Do I Do, This Is A True Horror Story I Want To Refinance My House What Do I Do I'm Shocked.
What do you mean just switching over to BOA?
Did you start using BOA for monitoring, apply for a card?
If you still have your old reports look at them page for page and go over everything and compare them.
If the switch was for monitoring services and you are looking at your reports from BOA, then you are not looking at a FICO score. BOA monitoring services gives a FAKO score. FAKO scores and FICO scores is not uncommon to be different. But with-out some more details it would be hard to assume the reasons.
Good Luck
I compared Them Over And Over Again BOA IS My Bank 1 Day They Called Asked Me If I Wanted Them To Monitor my credit I Said Sure Because I was Using freecreditreport But They make You Pay Monthly fee And Some Months It Was $11.95 and Then some months it Was $14.95 so I decided To Let BOA Monitor My Scores And report, And The Only Thing Different Is I Paid Some Stuff Down To Make My Score grow After All I Watched It with Free For All Those year's I Told Them To Cancel So I Could Go back To Freecredit. And BOA Sent Me another Report ANd My Score Now Is 600 I Am Furious. Any Answer please
You are seeing a score but they aren't FICO scores. Even FreeCredit is not a FICO score. Have you tried to look at your true FICO scores?
You can get your FICO scores here on this site for EQ and TU, or you can get your FICO scores for EQ from EQ and TU from TU, but you have to search around to find where they say FICO score. If you get your FICO scores from here google FICO promotions for discounts which will save you a few dollars.
I am sure some one will explain this a little better to you.
Good Luck
Ok Thanks I'll Try Anything At This Point I Am Livid I Need To Refinance But BOA Monitoring Service Is Way Off.
Most lenders only go by your true FICO score, so those are the numbers you need. Once you have your FICO scores and need help with something that is reporting or on ways to help your scores, feel free to come back to forums and ask. Their are many knowledgable folks on here that are more then willing to help.
Good Luck.
Great posting, JM!
Just want to add this about FICO scores - pull them from here. If you go to Equifax, you have to watch your steps very carefully. I get Equifax FAKO scores from their site - they're many many points off of my Equifax FICO.
OP - don't worry. be happy. Your mortgage lender will never see your FAKO scores from any of those services. They'll just see the real FICO score. And as JM said, maybe take the time to pull at least one true FICO score (it's good to know where you really stand and why - especially if you're mortgage-bound) and keep coming back for more helpful info and guidance along with solid answers to your questions.
And, I have to say, this is one reason (and a BIG one at that) that FAKO scores are what they are. They're fake. They're intended to appear to consumers to be FICO scores and as such, they cause all sorts of problems. Consternation is one thing. The original poster here is obviously distraught. But it's worse when folks make decisions based on FAKO information that can impact them negatively - and that happens frequently as well. And don't even get me started on taking money from folks who are hoping to see their FICO scores and providing them with something else. I know the other consumer scoring services are businesses and they're in it to make a buck, but this post is a prime example of why we differentiate between FICO's and FAKO's on these boards - and why it matters to consumers.
I Have Very Minimum Balance On Credit Cards I Have Not Been Late with Anything And I Payed A lot Of Things EX Car Loan 7 Months Early, And Try To Use Credit Cards To Be Active I Don't Need To Use Them, I Am Very Livid But I Am Going To Do The Fako And See What They Come Up With For Me I Would Be Stupid Not To Refinance And that's Only Thing Holding Me Back Bank Of America Foreclosed On Not Sure Billions Of Home I Am At Point Where I Don't Trust Them.

Not FAKO...FICO is the score you need. You can get two of your three FICO scores from myFICO.com. Ignore all other scores as mentioned (e.g. from BofA's monitoring service (PrivacyAssist?) and freecreditreport.com's scores) as they are not FICO scores and lenders won't even touch them they are so bad.
I wouldn't trust BofA either.
Sorry That's What I Meant I Am Going to Try That Today, Also When Refinancing What Score IS the Most Important Example. Transition, Or Equifax. Or It Depends On Lender, I Am Also trying To Find Best Lender For My Refinance, And I Agree With You About BOA, Think I Will Close My Acct There, I Cancelled there Primary Assistant And They Sent me Another report This Month And Last Month Report Was from July, I Am Angry.. And Really I used FreecreditReport Service For 6 years,There scores Don't Matter That's A Shock to Me. I Will Really Have To Investigate This, I Paid for Nothing It Sounds Like. Thanks SO Much.
