Re: Fico Score of 850

Guys

How do you insert a screenshot here? Im trying to copy/paste my score from MyFico score.

Byt the way, I have $30,000 in CC ($0 balance), the biggest CC is Amex, wtih $20k limit.

Got an auto-loan from 2006-2010 , never missed a payment, got another car in 2014 ($42K value) , still paying, never missed a payment.

Dont have mortgage, im renting.

Nerver missed a payment in my CC or Auto, ever, since 2000 when I came to live in the States.

Sometimes maxed out my CC but then paid them back everytime.

Back in 2006 my CC was 710 or something like that, (I was 32 then, never missed payments and never got more credit that I could pay)

Las Nov when I got my last autoloan my Fico was 695, got %4 on the loan, I was at 65% utilization on my CC.

In January I got a good contract (this  year I started a contractor business), and decided to live with minimum and pay everything off.

(basiclly we are watching our budget very closely, and we are expending just the necessary, wife is very good at it)

my score in Jan was 693.

in Feb 710 (STARTED PAYING CC)

in March 730 (kept paying)

early April 819 (kept paying)

early May 817 (kept paying)

Mid May 848  (paid every CC off)

Now, 850 (no CC debt)

Now I intent to use what is left on my contract to pay the Car off, and thats it. And I wont acquire any debt (hopefully, until I get a hose), car is from 2014, bumper to bumper warranty until 2020 (6 years or 120K miles) so Im not expecting surprises there. Car is fully insured, just in case.

Always made health a priority so I got Humana insurance for the family so we dont have Medical Debt either,

Since this is my first years as contractor, I cannot get a Mortgage, so this year is about saving, hopefully my Score will be still good by mid next year, so I can get the house.

By the way, got two babies (one in 2011, one in 2014), wife doesnt work, so her credit is based on my CC (we checked it yesterday, it was 670), so now we will focus on building hers, so it doesnt hurt the mortgage app next year. We have only one car and not planning to get any other.

Dont have Jetsky, dont have boat, dont have motorcycle, or any other superflous toys.

We do go on Vacations to Europe once a year for 3 weeks (wife is from there).

We do have surfboards, bodyboards, bycicles, skaboards, etc (things to have fun in a non-expensive way), go to the beach 5 times a week and take kids to the park almost every day).

Sorry for giving details, but I figured that it might be usefull fo somebody.

I dont think 850 matters too much,, anything over 780 seems to be the same, but I guess the 850 is a good indicator you are doing the things the way it should be done.

And that is far more important than having a perfect FICO score!  And maybe more rare lol!

You are doing great!

You still need to use credit to maintain your scores.

Pick your best card, use it every month and make sure to pay it in full every month and you will be golden for a mortgage app.

Starting Score: EQ 653 6/21/12
Current Score: EQ 817 3/10/20 - EX 820 3/13/20 - TU 825 3/03/20
