Final Transunion Collection

I have a question in regards to the posted pic. I am trying to figure out when this is supposed to drop off my credit report. Judging by what i see, it looks like it should have dropped off already? Thanks ahead of time. This is my last collection for a bullcrap school i never attended and they wont drop.

no way to tell you from what is posted when it should drop off. The CA has to operate from the OCs DoFD and the max time it can report is 7.5 yrs from that date. Since this collection was opened in 08 its safe to assume that it should be gone real quick. Find out from the OC when the DoFD was and you can take it from there.

thats what i was trying to figure out. with only one date listed, i figured it was just a matter of time before it fell off.

Pull a full report from annualcreditreport.com and it should have the information you need.

There is no doubt in my mind that it should be due to fall off, I would bet if you dispute it as "too old to report" it will be gone quickly. Or even if you don't want to dispute it online, just call up Transunion and ask them to remove it as you don't believe it should still remain on your report.

Thanks for the advice. I have finally gotten the final collection off of my report and reached my June deadline of being in the 700s. well on 2 out of the 3 so far. This board is awesome.
