If you got an alert it's not a 'soft' IMO.

Re: First American CredCo?

Well Cr@P.... I guess now I just sit and wait...I really need to stay off the computer on the weeknds....I am absolutely sure I have not applied for anything in over 8 months....nothing would be going to any type of collection....no reason I can think of for an inquiry...although I find it weird that TU alerts but on th eupdated report the  alert company isnt listed....argh I hate that I am turning into an addict!

Re: First American CredCo?

Ok, this is getting weirder by the day....got an alert this morning from CIC...hard pull inquiry from FAC Co....I have no idea who or what this cold be for...and its driving me nuts!  Interesting thing is I have now had an alert thru TC and CIC but none from SW....hmmmmm

I hate that its the weekend and I have to wait til Monday to try and figure it out.

Is it a bad thing to contact them to see who they are and why they pulled??  Or should I just leave well enough alone?

No, this is exactly why we have TC and CIC, and SW when it's awake. It sounds to me like someone is app'ing for a mortgage, and your reports are getting pulled. It could be just an error in typing in their SSN; it could be identity fraud.

Help, other members, what do we do when something like this pops up on the weekends? Is it OK to wait till first thing tomorrow (Monday) morning, to avoid the hassle of freezing reports and all?

Re: First American CredCo?

Ok, so the CIC said the pull was from FACC thru Quicken Loans.  I immediatley called Quicken , requeste d a supervisor, got Rebecca Larsen, explained the situation.  She was very nice, apologized profusely.

She said to email her on this as it was a Sunday and she would have the Credit Service Director call me no later than the end of the business day tomorrow.

So,  thanks to the resources on this wonderful site I emailed her  a personalized version of the Non Auth Inquiry letter found here...you guys are a godsend!

Now we just sit and wait I guess!
