Flexible Spending Credit Card

I just received an alert on MyFico that one of my card's account status has changed. I had just paid down my Chase, so I thought they meant my bal decreased. That alert was there too, so I wondered why they sent me two alerts about the same thing. When I looked at it again, it shows that Chase was now reporting my card from credit card to flexible spending account. What does that mean?

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

They just converted my Chase Amazon into a Visa signature which is funny because I moved the limit over to my freedom and it's only five hundred bucks

My Amazon Visa was that way from the start, opened the account a few weeks ago!

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

Is this a new way of reporting? My limit is only $1000 and there is no status change online. I didn't receive any notifications from them either. I sent a secure message to them asking about the reporting. They said I should get an answer in about 24 hours.

It was weird, because Myfico is the only place it was reported as an account change.

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

My chase amazon at $2500 also got he conversion as well as my IHG MasterCard at $2000. I wonder what this all means.

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

I got the Chase email today about my Amazon visa upgraded to signature. Received the card replacement yesterday. My limit is 4000. Originally it was only 500.

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

You all just hit the nail on the head. It didn't dawn on me until you all mentioned Chase Amazon. That's the card I have too. Does it mean that we all got upgraded? I only had the account since Nov. 2015. So I guess I'll get an answer within the next. 24 hours to be sure. That would be nice if they increased the limit too, if it does happen.

First the PayPal Smart Connect conversion to MC letter last week, now this. Hopefully, I must be doing something right. Smiley Happy

Re: Flexible Spending Credit Card

Thanks for the heads up. I called Chase directly, and the rep said my account was opened as a Visa signature card in November. I never knew that. I certainly never received paperwork on it. Also, it was still reporting to the credit bureaus as a credit card. If I did not get a notification from Myfico this morning about the reporting change to Flexible spending (aka access line, according to the recording and rep), I would have never known.

Thanks all for the clarification.
