Fraud THRICE In One Week - CRAZY

Again, driving and my phone goes off. What-a-y'know?!?! Same thing - some $100 charge at a gas station.

Press 1 if this is you, 2 to call Amex.

I use this card for EVERYTHING. So bummed. I'll have my new one Wednesday.

Once last week on my BCP and now twice on my Gold Card in less then a week.

Re: Fraud THRICE In One Week - CRAZY

i dont know about you. But when I go to fuel up my car I shake the leading edge of the fuel pump card reader to make sure It's firmly attached. Rumors of all those card skimmers that just slide over has me doing double takes. Do you know how they got your CC info yet? Like from a resturant? or a card scanner? I also picked up a wallet with built in RFID blockers in it. Not quite sure how that works but maybe it will. Good luck.

I thought it came from a shady parking lot I parked at a few times in Downtown L.A., but who knows.

My last fraud issue was after I used a card for the first time in months at a local gas station. The reader looked fine, but now I shake them also if there isn't security tape over it.

And what do you know, I just logged into my discover and there's an unauthorized pre-authorization from Google on there after I ordered pizza hut.

A pre-authorization may not mean there's an actual transaction. I've seen online merchants like Apple and Amazon periodically put a $1 pending charge on cards listed on accounts to make sure that it's still active.
