Got a text at 2:30am in morning that my credit card was compromised, CU declined charges, and text back yes or no if this was me, and i text no. My CU called me later a number i didnt recognize and i hung up, and called 1800 number CU I knew and waited 15 min to talk to CS, and she said your card is frozen, and i said i want to talk to Fraud Dept, and she said its a very long wait. After waiting 41 minutes on hold i hung up phone and drove to my CU and closed credit card and the CU account. Twice this has happened at this CU. I am done with this CU.
What is interesting is i dont carry that card nor do i use the card. Last time i used it was about a year ago, and she said the CU is having lots of fraud issues.

I had a similar problem with my local credit union... turned out to be a family member being creative... wasn't the credit unions fault.

Credit Union is Alaska USA Federal CU. Closed checking a few years back, but kept savings as 1 of my older CC was with them.
Going to attempt to open a savings account at BECU close by.
