Free Credit Report

I received my scores from Free Credit Report.com and the scores show a little higher than the FICO scores. I am going to see if I can get approved for a house and/or what I have to do to get my scores up. I have paid off everything on my report. Some agreed to delete and some did not. My concern is why are my FICO scores lower than Free Credit Report scores? I am very disappointed and confused. All reports have the same information.

Re: Free Credit Report

Your scores from fcr.com are just plain old credit scores, that we refer to as FAKOs around here.

The majority of all lenders, especially mortgage lenders, use FICO scores.....which is a kind of credit score.

Each score was derived using a different formula, thus the difference in the scores.

Your FICO is what the mortgage lender will look at more than likely.
