Free Credit Reports?

Hi, posted awhile back about how I had requested my free annual credit report from all 3 bureaus.

Did it by snail mail with the form.

Only received Experian's. The other 2 never came. Tried doing it over the internet and just printing the reports but Equifax and TransUnion websites basically told me I wasn't eligible to receive it cause I already requested/received it from them.

Is there a phone number I can use to call them and figure out why I never got it in the mail even though they supposedly sent them out? I tried annualcreditreport's phone number but it's just a fully automated call system.

Is writing to the credit bureaus the only way? (Hopefully not)

Thanks for any and all help.

Re: Free Credit Reports?

I also didn't receive my CRs by mail either. Sometimes it also the Post Offices fault. Contact the CRA's directly and tell them you didn't receive it, they should send you another one. Better to view online and print.

Re: Free Credit Reports?

Equifax 800-405-0081 9-5 M-F
TransUnion 800-916-8800 open later hours M-F
Experian 800-493-1058 9-5 M-F

You might have to play with options on the phone to get through.

Re: Free Credit Reports?

Thanks so much.

Equifax was a pain cause the number is automated and they require a report file number but I managed to find another number to get a hold of them.

Apparently the address was wrong so they're gonna investigate, correct it, and send me a complementary report within 45 days.

TransUnion was good too, wrong address as well so needed to fax them proof of residency and they're gonna correct it and send out a report. Just said processed in order received so no estimate on when.

Re: Free Credit Reports?

Here's another question...

My address was wrong on my Experian report but it still managed to be delivered to my house.

The report was sent more than 90 days ago (not recent according to Experian).

I managed to get hold of a person but they told me I need a recent copy to dispute the wrong address... I don't feel like having to buy a copy of my report to have them fix something like a wrong address on the file...

Is there some other way I can get this fixed?
