Free Credit Score (not FAKO)

I dont know if this is posted anywhere else, but can anyone tell me where I can get a free trial of any product that I could discontinue w/ no issues that would give me access to all of my credit reports and scores (real ones not FAKO's)?  I am looking to apply for an offer that I have received which is a Citi Platinum Select card w/ 0% APR for a year for a BT, as well as 0% on purchases and a fixed APR of 7.99%.  I only want to apply if I am in the position to get approved, as I dont want to take any dings on my score.

I have a FAKO of 718 of Transunion's that my WAMU card gives me access to.  I know that purchasing the products here are generally the best bet, but cash is really tight right now, and honestly I dont plan on doing anything else with my credit for at least another year, so I dont think it would make any sense to spend the $$.

thanks for all your help!

Unfortunately, no such trial exists. However, ScoreWatch via this site offers a chance to get your EQ score only, via a 30 day trial. Coincidentally, Citi tends to pull EQ, but not always.

Re: Free Credit Score (not FAKO)

Arts - Are you sure the TU score you are getting from Wamu is a FAKO?   If it is from their credit card, it is probably a bankcard enhanced FICO, which, while not the same as a classic FICO used by mtg lenders, is still a real FICO that a credit card company would use to assess you as a credit risk.

If you have access to this online with Wamu, then it will actually say FICO.  The bankcard FICO I have with my credit card is actually from EX, not TU.

Check it out and let us know.

Re: Free Credit Score (not FAKO)

My bank card score is a FICO from transunion.  Is this a good measure of my actual score, or how would it compare with an actual FICO?  I was also looking to try to get the other 2 reports/ scores to make sure that all of the information is updated and the same.

Re: Free Credit Score (not FAKO)

It is a genuine FICO score but it is geared for revolving account lenders. FICO scores sold on this site are "classic" scores calibrated for mortgage lenders - these scores are more well rounded. The PFICO you obtained through WaMu emphasizes your revolving account history even more than the FICO's sold on this site.

If you have a poor revolving history but excellent installment history then your "classic" score might be higher. If the opposite is true you might have a lower "classic" score. Best way to find out is to pull your score on here - if you google "myfico discount code" it won't be too expensive.

Some people get EX PFICOs and some get TU PFICOs.  There doesn't seem to be any pattern.

Mine started as EX but switched to TU after a couple of months.
