Free EQ score at myFICO?

I pay $14.95 per month to monitor my EX08 score/report here. I've been a member since 2012. I'm guessing the plan(s) have changed over the years. Recently someone mentioned getting that score here for free. Does it update monthly or everytime there is a change? I get a notification when there is a change.   I don't see the plan I subcribe to in the list - Compare plans

Re: Free EQ score at myFICO?

Pretty sure it's like a secret link to sign up for the free version. I got my son on myFICO and had to open an incognito browser to find the free link.

I get one report per month from Equifax, but the score (Equifax) updates whenever there is a change, so several times a month. Pretty sure the score is the the current daily score. Not quite as nice as Experian's free service which gives you a daily report as well, but still pretty good. I mean it's free, right?

I can use Credit Karma for my reports. That info is accurate. Does your score update if there are changes or just monthly?

Re: Free EQ score at myFICO?

I'm not exactly sure how I got mine, I want to say I visited during a holiday, and it showed $0, so I went with it.  I just thought that was the basic membership.

The FICO score updates once per month, but you can manually update at anytime.  I've never noticed any difference in score when updating manually.  As for the FICO score itself, I have over a dozen or so CC's that monitor score, so the scores have been in the ballpark most everywhere.  Only here, they'll give you a nice list of positives or negative activities or events that are affecting your score.

It's a nice tool in the toolbox.

$XXX,XXX in credit lines.
Multiple months in free credit reward vacations.
$X,XXX in bank rewards in only 12 months.
I like FREE...

Re: Free EQ score at myFICO?

I just updated my report on the myfico app. My score didn't change, but the date changed to today. So, I think you get your score once a month, you can choose when to update it.

To get the free sub, you'll probably have to cancel the paid sub first. Otherwise, when you log on, you'll go to paid sub.

Re: Free EQ score at myFICO?

I have the free FICO subscription at myFICO.  I can manually request a new report once a month (not calendar month; it's based upon your subscription start date).  I can choose the date to pull, and the date can be at any point during that subscription month.  My subscription info under the "Reports" tab tells me the earliest date that I can request my next report update.

The score can update multiple times a month.  Whenever there is a change, I get an alert and then I can go view the new score under the "Scores" tab.  However, the report does not automatically update at the same time.  I still need to manually request a new report according to the monthly restriction.

Just one report per month, but the score updates whenever there is a change.

I hope this is a typo and that you are not paying for EX FICO 08. You can get your Experian 08 scores and reports free from the Experian website. You can also do their free trial in order to get a look at all three FICO 08 scores. This is a process that can be repeated.

As for the Equifax monitoring through myFICO; the score updates whenever there is a change and the reports can be generated monthly.

You can get TransUnion and Equifax credit reports daily from Credit Karma; TransUnion credit reports daily from the TransUnion website; and the credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion from Annualcreditreport.com on a weekly basis. All of those options are free of cost.
