Where are you getting this information? Credit Check Total's main page still advertises three reports and FICO 8 scores for the $1 trial.

I am active with a seven day $1 trial right now. It is a FICO 8 score. From all three CRAs.
Our friend TimBales probably pulled his CCT scores and they had a banner indicating that they used the old Plus model. Here is a thread that was started a couple days ago discussing this. The consensus appears to be that CCT has something buggy in its presentation software that occasionally displays a "Plus" banner -- but that even when it does this, the scores are still FICO 8 Classic scores.
@timbales1CCT score is no longer Fico 8 scores but Fico Plus similar to all the other Credit Karma type scores.
This statement above is incorrect. What CGID referenced in the post above is correct. CCT is still providing Score 8 scores, although they sometimes incorrectly state that they are of the Plus variety. The scores are exactly the same regardless of which label they put on them; they are FICO Score 8's. Yesterday my EX score was shown as Plus, then today I log in and the same score was there (dated yesterday) saying it wa Score 8. Just some buggy stuff going on, but their scores are still legit FICO Score 8.

Many credit cards (Discover, Amex, etc) will provide you with a free monthly FICO score.
If you're willing to spend a dollar, you can get all 3 of your FICO 08's from Credit Check Total.
How accurate is the reports or scores the credit card vendors are providing for free?
They're completely accurate.
They're just (a) not timely and (b) limited to the particular FICO scoring model and credit bureau employed.

Are you sure the CC freebie FICOs aren't the bankcard version? I.e. not the classic FICO 8?

Depends on which creditor. Discover/Amex are classic, Citi is bankcard.

There is no such thing as Fico Plus score. There has been a report that when logged in to CCT it occasionally shows "PLUS score" instead of "FICO score", but the number is exactly same, and it's more likely a programming glitch rather than using a different model.
PLUS is another a scoring model but it's not FICO.
