Sorry if this is a repeat info. But, I found it useful. I live in MA and learned that I can get 1 additional free credit reports a year from each of the 3 CRAs. Addtional reports are $8 instead of the full price.
There are other benefits for other states. Follwing is from TU site, but it's true for the other 2 as well. Looks like Georgia and Puerto Rico has the best deal...

Can you post the link to this on the TU website ? Wow, so you're saying that GA and PR residents can pull unlimited reports for free ??
Interesting, I live in Georgia. Can you state how you obtain these reports?
im on a tablet right now and cant do a complicated lookup/write up. but yes, based on the laws in various state books you can get free/reduced crs. i got mine. it seems that the cras have buried the info as my as they can but its there. ill post the how tos for each cras tomorrow

I wonder if Puerto Rico's technicality has to do with being a commonwealth.
Either way, I'll let my family know. I know my mother pulls her credit reports constantly, so maybe she already knows.
Too bad I didn't know this while I was living there.
Yeah, I was not aware of this either ~ reports are free all day long for both GA and PR !! I'm guessing it has something to do with state laws, the states must have enacted legislation to that effect.....
It isn't completely unlimited here in Georgia. They'll give you three free. I seem to recall Equifax trying to charge me for #4.... I don't remember if Experian or TransUnion charge after 3 or not. Will have to pull a few more and find out.
It is a nice feature to have though. It felt good calling TransUnion and cancelling their service last year when I found this out. They really didn't have a pitch when I told them I can get their reports free and didn't care for the FAKO scoring anyway.

Interesting, I interpreted the chart to read that any additional reports should be free, but maybe it does only mean 1 additional....
Either way though, its a great deal for residents of GA & PR, and some other states.....
I was surprised to discover this since I hadn't seen a mention of it in the forums. CRA don't make it front and center, that's for sure. I was happy to get a free one as a MA resident. @ $8 for additional reports are not bad either.
