Freeze Reports?

Thinking about freezing EQ and EX. Just because they are my lowest scores and ones with the most inqs. Would that affect any SP CLIs. I have discover and and boa and wells fargo (dont really care about them tho).

Re: Freeze Reports?

If I'm not mistaken, any lender that is already granted access by you who use those reports that are frozen will still have that access. Now, on the other hand if you try to open any line of credit and that lender wants to use one of those reports, they will ask you to unfreeze it, or will deny you. Sometimes they deny immediately just because they can't access it.

Re: Freeze Reports?

I believe RM is correct on all points. Anther additional consideration is that it will also stop most  of those junk pre  qualifier offers. I'm considering doing the same thing.

Re: Freeze Reports?

Not sure if freezing will stop pre qualifiers. You may need to opt out.

I have a freeze on all 3 and still got one for citi double cash back yesterday.
