Freezing Credit

I'm just curious if freezing your credit profiles result in you not being able to get auto CLI's or SP increases? My understanding is that freezing your report keeps it from being pulled but that it's still available to current credit companies you do business with? Just want to see if I am wrong or right.

Also would like to see others experiences with this as well.

Re: Freezing Credit

Freezing your reports will not affect sp or sp cli's. Your current creditors will be able to sp your reports.

Re: Freezing Credit

Thanks! I figured that was how it worked but wanted to make sure I wasn't thinking about it wrong.

I had some inquiries already hit my report that were not me so I think I'll be in for a ride!

Re: Freezing Credit

It's ok! I got them all on ice and alerts added as well. Funny thing is it was an inquiry with Chase which has the 5/24 rule so I know ain't nothing getting approved 😂

Re: Freezing Credit

If you are going for a sp increase with Sync and you want a fresh pull, especially when calling CS, i recommend having your TU unlocked because they will tell you they cant access your report. Has happened to me. YMMV
