GOOD NEWS....... I think!

So, I haven't heard anything else about my goodwill letters I sent out a few weeks ago.  I heard 3 no's.  I sent out more goodwills.

anyways...  i was alerted today through MYFICO that my credit score increase +33!!!  SO excited!  I know my Bally's membership has finally been fully paid.   this account is a positive.  That my have helped.

My question is though....  i was very curious to see waht made it jump so much.  Target was red flagged the last time i checked.  I wrote them a good will letter asking them to remove some late payments.  I heard nothing back.  I disputed somethings on my credit report with target as well.  The investigation of the dispute stated "account updated.... contact subscriber for more info- special handling".  I did call TARGET and the customer service rep stated it didn't show anything in the computer regarding "special handling" but that a "correspondence was sent out".  I have never received it!  That was like a week and a 1/2 ago.

I looked at my credit report today and  TARGET is no longer red flagged!!!!!  There is no info at all about the account except when it was opened.  Everything else is listed as "not reported"  It is listed that is it opened.  Under status most of my account say "pay as agreed"  but my TARGET says "contact member for status".

why do they need to be contacted??  that is the only thing that worrys me!  I am reading into this too much??  I should just be happy they removed the late payments right?

Re: GOOD NEWS....... I think!

if it's in dispute it will be taken out of the scoring matrix. if it is complete and the lates were removed via goodwill or dispute the score increase may have been from that. if it's just because it's temporarily removed from the matrix, then the points will be deducted if they verify them. good luck

Re: GOOD NEWS....... I think!

i think one or more of the cra's has a group of csr's called speacial handling. say you file a boat load of disputes back to back, get a split file, etc... you are handed off to special handling.
