Re: GW Success Bittersweet...

Score jumps go by what & how old the baddie was. A late pay that is 3 or 4 years old might not show any jump.  Where as a CO  deleted from 7 years ago will show a 30-60 jump.

Congrats!!

Did you use the GW letter on the forum?  If not, please post your letter.  I've been unlucky lately with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Thanks

Actually, I initially called the collection agency and the rep told me that there was NOTHING she could do, that I have to wait for it to fall off. So after reading a few post on here, I came acoss one that said to try the Original Creditor because they are the ones who actually own the account NOT the Collection Agency. So, I DID use the GW sample from the forum and tweeked it to my situation sent it to the OC and the office manager at the OC told me that she would contact the CA herself. Well, the CA rep told that OC office manager the same thing (there was nothing they could do).  So, then I came across another post that stated get it in WRITING (from the OC). So I had the OC send me a letter verifying that I was PIF and no longer had any obligations to the OC or CA and that they wanted my account to be deleted from the 3 major CRA's. I mailed a copy of that letter to the president/CEO of the CA- and he deleted!

It would also depend, besides the type of acct and age, how many of these you have. If you remove one CA or one late, but you have several, points gained would be minimal versus removing your last late or your last CA. Removing revolving COs seem to have the most to gain due to a lessened impact to util%.

Re: GW Success Bittersweet...

UPDATE: If you've read my initial post, I stated that I checked my TU CR and the collection had been removed....... Well today I finally purchased my EX CR (because the Collection was only on those 2) and OMG it was still there on EX #$*^$@$%^&!!! I'm P!$$3D off..... Now I have to write the CEO again, and tell him that he forgot to delete on ALL reports.
