GW failure--Commerce Bank Kansas City

Got a message from person about GW letter.  Have one 30 day late and one 90 day late since 1991.  These were in 2003 due to PMB box not forwarding mail.  They indicated that federal law will not allow them to change these and that this was an unusual request.  I let them know that I had researched the validity of this request...blah, blah, blah about federal law...Then he said that the upper management would not ever allow this..Any suggestions now...dead in the water?

Re: GW failure--Commerce Bank Kansas City

Gosh let me tell you... Commerce touts their customer service but any time I've had a TINY issue with them they have treated me like I'm an ex-con with the plague and spoke to me like I'm 2 years old.

Was this all over phone or emails?  If so, I would start writing regular letters asking them to remove as a courtesy due to the mail error.  I'd leave out the law... apparently it confuses them.

Do you still have an open account with them?  You might have some luck speaking with a branch manager.  Heck... even if you don't and there is one closeby... I'd drag my paperwork over and wait to speak with one.

That is some bad service for such a small issue.  I don't know why I continue to bank with them except that they are right down the street.
