As some of you already know, I have been searching (in futility) for contact information for Statewide Credit to try and get an old CA off my record.  I had sent them a GW letter weeks ago and heard nothing back from them.  However, I recently checked my reports and the account has been deleted.  This was not a PFD because the account had already been paid prior to my request.

That is great!  I have also been working on GW letters to CA's already paid.  I start and then I change something.  What did you include in your letter that you think "touched" them?  I was just going to ask for mercy .  I am really inspired.
