I have a car loan through Honda Financial, which was started in August, 2004. I went on a mission trip to Africa for three months (Nov. 2006 - Jan.2007). Knowing that I was not going to be near a computer I set up automatic payments through my bank. These payments never initiated, so my Honda account went 60 days behind. As soon as I returned I brought my account up to current. I was never late on a payment before or since this incident. My question is what should I do, if anything, to have the late payments removed from my credit report. I have contacted my bank, who said that they are not responsible. I have contacted Honda Financial repeatedly by telephone, and they all say there is nothing they can do. I would appreciate any advice or ideas. Thank you.
