Getting it right

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum family, but I have always read the forums. They were actually helping me get back into trying to get my credit straight. It's been a while since I've been trying, you no on and off type thing. I guess not really being committed to it. Anyway it's been hard with having the extra money to try and clean up your credit so it would always get delayed. Then when I do focus on my report its depressing. When I started my scores where very low, Now I looked at it today and it is extremely low I didn't think that score really existed. Anyway I have a plan and I am focused and determined. I have been reading these forums and I have seen amazing things happen and you guys have given me such inspiration to jump into this. My goal is to get a house. I have to reach 620 in order to to qualify for the mortgage with my credit union. All or any advice given would be appreciated. I've read alot advice on here and it is so helpful. I have alot to do and a long way to go. I have alot of collections accounts. 3 open credit cards and 2 credit cards that were closed(by creditor). Where do I Start?

Why is the Fico so low. I didn't know this score really exist. What am I doing wrong? Even though I have 3 credit cards I made sure they were always paid on time and also I have a car note that's paid on time. I don't understand.  PLEASE HELP.

Re: Getting it right

List out your accounts with dates and what not(no personal information or account #s) and you can get better advice.

Re: Getting it right

I have 8 accounts in total with bal:

Direct TV
KCA Finan (CA)
ER Solutions (CA)
Calvary (CA)
Wachovia Bank
Rickenbecker (CA)
NCO (CA)

I have mostly collection agencies on my reports with balances. The total of all of these are $3,361.00. Now that might not seem like alot to most people, but with my situation that's not something I can clear up in a day. My plan though is to clear it up when I get my stimulus payment by Uncle Sam this way I would be left with something to fall back on. But I need to get information on how to get them removed when I pay them off.
