Good News

Hello all its Assets here once again to tease the brains of  my "myFICO elders".  Since I started actually monitoring my credit in October of this year i have seen an increase of about 11 points.  I am one month away from being completely debt free which means in January after I lick my wounds from the holidays (I didn't go too crazy)  Assets will have no more bills to pay other than for the basic necessities....SO here comes the question that I would like to post and its a fairly easy one i think, so here goes...My Transunion and Experian are almost identical, but my Equifax on the other hand is a whole different baby (51 point difference), it has accounts on that were closed and it also has accounts that are not on the other two...I will dispute these claims because they are paid accounts and accounts that are well over 7 years...what is the expected turnaround for Equifax to get back with me and what is the affect on the credit score?  Is it positve, negative because of credit history is affected or will it balance itself out to remain neutral  (OLDEST ACCOUNT 1997...)

BY THE WAY THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO TO ALL OF THOSE WHO REPLIED TO PREVIOUS POSTS...ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED ...
the floor is open for discussion...

Re: Good News

if they have no baddies i would not touch them. even if they have baddies post them up, you may lose the line alltogether and dramatically reage your file and cause a score drop.

Remember by deleting you will lose hx....that could cause a neg affect....all baddies (late pay) fall off in 7-7.5 years BUT the TL will remain for 10 years that is good........if it was a paid collection its up in the air....................also more often when disputed a closed account just to get rid of late pmt    some people are seeing the whole TL deleted rather then just the lates.
