Good info on Verizon Wireless

I have an unpaid CO with Verizon Wireless within SOL and it'll be at least three years before it goes out of SOL. It is also my last debt as listed on EX, so it'll be great to kill it.

I'm eager to get rid of mine but it is unsold and the non-reporting CA is stalling in the verification process. No luck with the PFDs.

I snooped around another forum and learned from several folks that Verizon Wireless made a change in their reporting procedures. If I read right, effective this month, Verizon Wireless will no longer report that paid or unpaid sold CO if you dispute it with each CRA. Trust but verify.

Re: Good info on Verizon Wireless

Are you saying that they will not verify info, therefore CRA will delete?

Re: Good info on Verizon Wireless

That's my understanding so as long as the account has been sold. I'm guessing that if you dispute via EQ, for example, Verizon Wireless will instruct each CRA to delete. However, you'd still have the CA to deal with if they are reporting.

Re: Good info on Verizon Wireless

If the DOFD is past 2 years  then you are past SOL federal law on cell phones.....they only have 2 years to file suit!

I would  disput it & if they verify   then send the OC letter

IMO, for me anyway, I send 1 GW  every 30 days on the nose to their HQ. If I have multiple contact address (from website, CRs, etc) I send one GW to each address every 30 days after the first 2 or 3 fail. I then rev it up and send to higher-ups, even to the CEO, but one at a time every 20-30 days. Then expand it from there to everyone. I'd rather get a restraining order than have a baddie!
