Hi everyone, I had a question about an uncoming event on my credit score. Up until the last two months, my AAoA was 6.7 years. 5 of these were collections. Within the last two months I have open up 5 new lines of credit and now my AAoA is 1.7 years. Come the 7 year mark, and these baddies fall off, should I be expecting an increase in my score because these collections should be gone, or a decrease because my AAoA will drop belolw a year?

Neither collections nor public records are included in AAoA so you may have to re-figure what your AAoA actually is.

Oh really? Thanks for the info!
Humm.....now I feel stupid lol.
OP, could you be referring to "collections" as a term for charged-off OC accounts?
Yes sorry, they are made up of four medical bills and a phone bill that went unpaid.

No need to ever feel that way. None of us have all the answers and never will.
I knew nothing about AAoA (and many, many other things) until I came here. And I still feel lost and confused much of the time.
