HARD INQUIRIES AGING QUESTION

Hey, all!  I have a hard inquiry (HI) dated 26 June 2020 on my TU report.  Waiting for it to turn 6 months old before applying for my second NFCU card (I know I could have done 91/4 but chose a different route).  Obviously, if I wait until 26 December 2020, it will be exactly 6 months since my last inquiry.  BUT I'm curious, because on 1 October 2020, I had a scorecard re-assignment based upon my oldest account turning 3 years old though when, technically, it wasn't 3 years old (opened on 23 October 2017).

So, I'm thinking that inquires should age in the same way, meaning that 1 December said inquiry will be 6 months old.  Is this line of thinking right or wrong?  Thanks for replies!

Re: HARD INQUIRIES AGING QUESTION

They are counted in two different formats. The aging factors are generated on the first of each month for all aging thresholds occurring for that month. INQs become unscorable after 365 days, but on the exact day rather than on the first of the month.

Score impact and lender evaluation are different things as well. Advice for 6 months generally is based on the second one.

@Anonymous, I was approved for a NFCU Platinum card for $15K with 29/24 Inquiries

29 inquiries within a two year period. To be honest, I think Navy is more concerned with DTI (Debt to Income)

and probably any presence of derogatory remarks. ALL JMHO
