It was about two weeks since I applied and then opened the account. Is it true that inquiries within two weeks of each other only count as one. Either way I want them to remove this 2nd inquiry.
If you only applied for one product, the LOC, and didn't apply for anything else (e.g. new checking, savings, CCs, other loans, LOCs, etc.), then you can always call them and point that out and ask them to delete.
The lumping together of multiple inquiries only applies to mortgage and auto inquiries.

I called Wells Fargo about the second inquiry and the banker told me that the second inquiry was when I opened the checking account with them, since I needed a checking account to disburse the funds. Does this sound right?
Unfortunately it does sound right. Most banks now will pull an inquiry to open a checking...and even a savings account.
