I was clicking around at Discover on their home equity lines. When i went to submit, which i thought was a soft inquity but to my suprise it was a hard one and i have inquiries in TU and Experian, I knew TU was unlocked but I check Experian and the freeze was already in place but the inquity was listed.
whats up with that? Is that possible?
I am upset with myself for not reading the fine print and now have to look at this inquiry for the next 2 years,
If you find an unauthorized hard inquiry on your report you can file a dispute and request that it be removed. But you'll have to have documentation that it was truly frozen. Call EX and see if that was the case. If it was frozen they cant even do a SP. Always read the fine print. Its worded in tricky ways. But you say TU was thawed. No mention of EQ. So it may have hit EQ. Saw it was frozen. Then hit EX which may have been open for business.

Ummm, this comment jumped out at me, I see SPs all over all three of my reports, I mean like many dozens, even though they're all frozen and have been for months. Are you sure SPs cannot be completed when your account is frozen?
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

According to Equifax, soft pulls can still occur even if your report is locked/frozen.

Unless I'm missing something, you cannot. I see mine when I download my credit reports from annualcreditreport.com.

Oops. Early morning brain fart typo. "If it was frozen they can even do a SP. Always read the fine print. Its worded in tricky ways"....
Thanks @Horseshoez

You got it right. You need to get a valid copy of your credit report either directly from the CRA or through annualcreditreport.com
You used to be able to see them online on Equifax going back 2 years if you subscribed to their paid service (Equifax Gold?) but I don't know if that is still the case.
Heres EQ's policy on SP's with a freeze:
