Sidewinder.. don't give up. I think it took almost 3 weeks before I finally received a response from Lisa.

I was almost ready to give up, but decided to try one more time, and I CC'd al.zezulinski@ncogroup.com (Executive Vice President of NCO). I don't know if that made a difference, but Lisa replied within a couple of hours.

Good luck!

Re: Has anyone had any success with NCO Financial?

I just sent NCO Healthcare a DV letter two weeks ago, CMRR and haven't even received my receipt yet as they received it.  I think I'll try emailing this guy.

My question is, I don't have a full account number, what information should I include?  Just my name or my SS#?  When I called NCO in the first place they had no account in their system even for me.  So it seems I should give my SSN but would that not be wise?  I want to make sure it's taken off.
Thanks!

I'm filing this in the too good to be true catergory but I just sent off my email to Mike B. Unlike what I've read so far in this thread, the amount of my acct is very high, $735, but I believe this is a bogus collection.

I did have a acct with the OC a long time ago that ended up in collections but that amount was around $400. In 2005, it split into two collection accts. The one for $400 is no longer on my reports (the default happened around 2000/2001 so I'm thinking SOL - don't know exactly when it came off) but this one for $735 remains.

It was assigned on 7/15/05 which really makes me think this is junk.

I'll see what happens. If this gets deleted, I'll feel like I won the lottery.

I forgot to give an update... IT WORKED!!! Three weeks after I sent my DV letter to Mike Barrist I received a letter from Lisa Signore acknowledging receipt of my letter and letting me know that they were looking into it. A week later the account was deleted. They never sent a letter or an email saying that they were going to delete the account, they just did went ahead and did it.

Re: Has anyone had any success with NCO Financial?

Iltph, it's been 4 yrs since my last pyt and acct was suspended in 03, charged off in 05.

I havent done anything yet about writing NCO yet hoping someone has some advices on the settlement request wording.

I am getting some help from the atty my sister works for to try to get the erroneous reporting of dates on this Cap1 acct as well as a providian acct, (have not been successful on my own) but I still have to get this Cap1 paid

I'm almost scared to make a move as I dont want to do the wrong thing, but I have got to get this account paid.  It is killing my utilization and since it's showing as upaid is going to keep me from getting further credit lines or being able to refi my mortgage.

Have you acted on yours yet?!

If anybody out there has a similar situation and has worked it out with NCO, please post!!

I'm feeling really desperate to get this one behind me.

Re: Has anyone had any success with NCO Financial?

I have two accounts with NCO. First thing I did was sent a DV letter CMRRR and got no response. I emailed Mike got a response from Lisa she sent me a letter saying she was gonna ask the OC to validate the wrong account that I Dv'd for. So I sent the second email explaining how I see now there are 2 accounts. Day's later guess what got 2nd letter from Lisa saying the same thing the first letter said she was going to ask the OC to validate. The CMRRR was signed on 2-26 and it has been long enough for a response from Lisa. I am now going to email here right now I just wanted to keep all posted on whats going on and hopefully next time I'm something will have been deleted

I sent the email to Mike and Lisa and within 2 weeks, received a letter from Lisa saying that she pretty much couldn't validate it and she was having it deleted!  My first delete!

Re: Has anyone had any success with NCO Financial?

After a PFD and email to Lisa and Mike she said she needed to validate never did. So I emailed her again Friday saying I had a GC delivered and signed since she didn't validate within 30 days. Yesterday got an email from her asking me to fax a tracking number guess what 2 that's right 2 NCO accounts deleted from EX today. Hopefully soon off of TU.

Re: Has anyone had any success with NCO Financial?

Sidewinder don't give up it took Lisa some time to get to me.  After a PFD letter and a few emails she finally came around today and deleted 2 accounts I had with NCO.  The accounts only came off of EX so far.  We have been emailing each other for over a month.  39 days on one account and 33 on another.  I wanted to pay but after he OC couldn't validate guess what gone.  Your day will be soon just hang in there.
