Re: Have read so much but still confused. Any Help???

The fastest way to raise your score is to pay down the Credit Card balances, to below 10%.

And if you have any  Paid  CA's on your CR, they are still hurting your score.

Try sending some  G W letters, they do work. I have read some people just called the CA's, instead of writing letters.

Some CA's agree to GW letters and other do not.But you never know until you ask.

Good Luck to youSmiley WinkKeep trying you will get there.

Re: Have read so much but still confused. Any Help???

IMO  there are too many variables to give you an answer.    Others may come along and share their experiences.

For now, I'd follow Lightenin' response.

1.   Pay down your debt to less than 10%.   Zero is even better.

2.   Write goodwill letters asking for deletions.

To add to that, I would suggest:

3.  Do not apply for any CLI or new credit!

4.  Pay everything on time.

5.  Opt out of your credit reports.

6.  Save as much money as you can after you pay off your debt!

Creditors usually update to the CB's once a month.   If you owe anything when they update, it will report and be calculated into your DTI and FICO.

Re: Have read so much but still confused. Any Help???

From a review of your CRs, what is the reason for the 80-90 point difference between your EX score and your other scores?

Did the collections not report to EX?
