I have also called my credit union and have requested a secured loan.....I want to get a cc but afraid and not quite sure where to go.....any advice is very well appreciated and if you have none....saying hi is good enough for me......Thanks to you all I am on my way to better credit!!

Re: Hello, I am new here

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply...it feels good...Well I have FMC on there which I've sense paid off but I was 30 days late 4 times and 60 days late once. I have two cc's that are suppose to drop one in August and September of this year. I have one with ATT that I sent a PDF for today. I have an education loan that is paid however it has CO and I sent a GW also sent a GW for FMC and then a medical that I went for the settlement as half and am not sure how to have them delete that charge off. That is it so far, one of the cc's that is dropping is Macy's however before them I had a Burdines and the burdines is still a revolving acct but since the merge with Macy's I am not able to get a new card. So I was thinking I should wait till Macy's drop off and then ask for a card thru Burdines since it shows I still have an acct. Thanks for taking the time to read.......hope to hear from you soon!!

P.S I obtain my score here on myfico and it's only for EQ

1.) Ford GW good move.Smiley Wink Good luck!

2.) Sounds like you saw a hard copy of your EX CRA... If not make sure you're calculating 7.5 years from DOFD typically the 90 day late date. I would be disputing the heck out these now, arther than later. Why wait if you can make it happen faster?

3.) Good work PFD with ATT mobile seem to work but Land lines are another story. Smiley Happy

4.) Not likely to change anything, but Tuscany was able to persevere!

5.) Southwest stores maintained a black list, and just because it is off the CRA doesn't mean you'll be able to get another account with them... Smiley Sad

I would first try BofA especially if you already have a bank account with them... Apply for the platinum plus card if you're declined an offer for $99/500 card will appear on the TD screen. OR a secured option. BUT BofA is a great prime bank and a place to start.

Orchard Bank is also a good place to start.

If you have a credit union account try to get a shared sucured loan. This is a Revolving line of credit secured against what you have in your account and can be asked for as soon as you open your savings account. Reason should be that you are trying to build credit.Smiley Wink

Check your other scores and we can make additional suggestions to get you on your way.

Keep fighting the good fight.

Rob

Re: Hello, I am new here

Thanks Rob,

I did contact my credit union and applied for the secured loan...waiting for the paper work. Also I tried Bank of America but they are trying to get me to apply for the platinum secured visa that starts at $300 so I figured the loan was a better idea and then I would move on to that. I am trying to get a high 600 FICO so I can get a VW beetle. Your advice are pricless. I don't think you understand the lives you help change and make better by the second, thank you!
