Help!

I have a few collections that have been paid (like back in 2004) and they are still reporting them as early as last month.  They say zero balance but are still reporting.  Do I send a letter to the collection agency (whom two were not helpful at all in taking care of the matter to begin with) or to the doctors?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Help!

paying off collections can actually hurt your score rather than help, you want to pay for a deletion or (PFD). That way the negative info doesn't follow you, even though you paid it off. You may want to dispute this now.

Re: Help!

So, should I dispute with the credit bureaus and not contact the CA directly?  Like I said, these have already been paid three years ago and they are reporting it still with a 0 balance.  And I was thinking if I could get them to stop reporting that it might help out the score also.  Thanks again for the reply!
