Re: How Does Discover report AU status without social

I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question - it just happens. A friend added me as an AU on his discover card for a while. We have different last names, different addresses, and live in different towns. Within 7 days, Discover was on my EX report. His address was listed under my previous addresses. He never gave them my SS#.

Sit back and watch the magic happen.

I would also love to know the answer to this question.  I added my dw as a au and Discover shows up on her cr without them ever asking me for her ss#.

I.m not quite sure but I thought AU do not get the benefit of being on someone elses card.  I thought that may have recently changed.

AU's still factor in FICO scoring and will continue to do so when FICO 2008 launches.
