How Many Collection Can One Have

I was helping a friend with his credit an to my surprise he has like 25 collection on his credit report i thought my credit was bad lol. i think the max i've ever had was 5.

Back in my banking days, I once saw upwards of 70 collections on a person's TU. **shudders**

I don't think there's a limit. I have seen some very, very bad CRs.

Egads! And, these are just collections. I'm sure there were over 100 lates, PRs, COs and a dozen of over-the-limit cards too.

Yep, a couple of judgments were present, as well as some COs. Mortgage payment was totally in line though. Never missed a beat.

Heh..  In June 2005 I had 138 90d lates..  Yes, one hundred thirty-eight.  (To be totally fair, that's 138 over 3 CRAs, so it was more like 46.)

Oh, and it looks like 5 collections and 68 total TLs.

 

My scores?  EQ 440, EX 495 and TU 473.

True there would be no limit to the number of collections that you can have... If you can get the loan then it can default... So the only time collections would be forced to slow down would be when the new credit stops being offered.
