She had like 20 on her EQ report an 15 on her TU report i'm like where do we start. When i saw that it made me think my credit is not so bad after all lol.

DW and I are down to one, but that is one too many. Things were worse at the start. I figured that if I kept my nose clean then in 7 yrs, I'd be baddie-free.

Well, in my case one Collection on an otherwise clean report was worth 50 points

In most instances, it's not how many baddies you have but how recent they are. Of course, MV is one of the very few exceptions.

I think it was because it was the ONLY baddie on an otherwise clean report Smiley Happy

Maybe so, but there have been a number of posters who have 720+ scores with a collection 6.5 years old on their reports

Re: How Many Collection Is To Many

So are you all saying 35 Collection wont hurt if there old. My mother is 53 years old an has a long credit history an her scores are around 470 ball park. I'm pretty sure all her collection are holding her down.

How old are these collections? Any other bad stuff on her reports? Any positive accounts? Does she have high balances on CCs? I see that many of these collections are medical, have you looked into the HIPAA process in the thread below?
