How can I remove credit inquries?

I have 12 Unauthorized credit inquries on my reports (4 on each) , how can I remove these? I was a minor when all these inquries were put on my report.

Is it even possible ? How do I remove them? How long will it take?

Welcome to the forums !!     How recent are these inquiries ?

These inquiries will only hurt your FICO score for one year from the date they occured, however your credit reports will display them for two years.

Are you saying that these inquiries were fraudulent because someone else requested credit in your name ?   Or because you were under the age of 18 ?

Even if you happen to be under 18, I believe that companies can still pull your credit reports if they have a permissable purpose and/or you initiate a business transaction with them.

I was under 18, and I didn't autheroize this. I don't have a score because I have no accounts open. Some of the inquries was 2 years old, and some are a few months old.

Even if you apply for credit when you are under the age of 18 a creditor can still pull your reports.     Are you saying that someone else applied for credit using your information ?

Since you don't have a FICO score there is no point in worrying about inquries.    Even if you had a FICO score the score damage from a few inquries is very minimal, so it really not worth the trouble to try to get them removed.

+1

If you applied for credit as a minor, you most likely come into any dispute with what the law calls "unclean hands."

Its not worth it to get into a hassle over what is almost an insignificant item..... credit inquiries.

Making inquiries for your credit report does not require your express approval if you initiated a request for credit.

I never applied for credit, that's why I want them removed.

If I had that, I'd probably call the police. ID theft issue here. You can probably dispute the inquiries. That'll result in a fraud alert which is what you'd want in place anyway, especially with inquiries showing within the past few months. Keep an eye on your reports. Someone has your personal info.

Re: How can I remove credit inquries?

If you did not apply for credit, or a cell phone plan, insurance, apartment, etc then you should definitely put out a fraud and ID theft alert. I saw a news report once where ID thieves are going after minors, particularly because a minor or their parent will not be checking their credit reports for a long time so the thief can really go to town.

I know this is coming out of left field, and honestly, I'm not insinuating anything specific, but did you ask your parents about this?
