How do I proceed when the credit bureaus do not accept supporting documents?

I have disputed a false credit non payment charge that is listed on each of my scoring companies.  the disputes online do not allow you to fully explain nor is there an attachment way to send supporting documents.
I mailed documents to each anyway.  Got a notice back from one that they could not accept my documents and from another that they would not change their ruling.  I have not heard from the 3rd.
Where does a consumer go from here to get a bad charge removed.  I do have supporting documents that the charge was paid if full to the orginating company before it was sent to a collection agency.
Are there helps out there anywhere.

Re: How do I proceed when the credit bureaus do not accept supporting documents?

Are you disputing the fact they are still showing lates or are you disputing PIF and they show you still have a balance?

If you PIF and they still show a balance call the OC and ask for a statement showing zero balance or better ask if they will update with the CR.

If you PIF and the CR shows a zero balance then they are reporting correctly.  PIF does not erase the lates ect.  Good Luck Vicki

Re: How do I proceed when the credit bureaus do not accept supporting documents?

It can be a waste of time to initiate disputes online.  Once the credit reporting agencies mail you the "corrected" credit reports, initiate the dispute by mail, including copies of your supporting documentation from the original creditor, all under a covering letter describing the issue.  They usually will not accept documents that are on their own.  Also, original creditor documentation is pretty much the only documentation that they'll use.

I'm currently involved in a dispute over when certain accounts went to collection.  I had all sorts of documentation from the collection agencies showing when my relationship with them began and all of the monies that I've put towards the debt.  The answer I received by mail simply said that they had verified the information as it was reporting from the original creditor.  When I called to find out why the documentation I submitted wasn't enough to show that it was incorrect, EQ and EX told me that they can't use a "third party" document to verify any information about the original creditor.  Currently trying to obtain info from the original creditor.

Good luck!

Re: How do I proceed when the credit bureaus do not accept supporting documents?

When I had an inaccurate collection on my reports I tried working with the CRA's and never got anywhere with them, so I worked strictly with AT&T (the OC). I called them until they got tired of hearing from me and the CA was deleted within days from all three when I got someone to see how it was inaccurate. This is how my siggy came about.
