How do you all keep your GWs, disputes, etc in order?

I desperately need some type of organizational system!

I'm working with 6 CRs here, between me and dh, and having trouble keeping up with the letters and disputes I've sent.

I tried using folders, keeping each by CRA and person, but that isn't working.

What does everyone else use to keep their stuff straight?

I have all of mine on my computer in a folder by CA. They are all dated so I know when they were sent.

Good post!  I'm looking forward to hearing everyone else's ideas . . .

I'm using folders also.

One (1) folder for each account I am working on - I keep copies of all correspondence (GW, DV, PFD, green cards, return correspondence from the creditor, etc.)

One (1) for each of the CRA - I keep copies of each credit report I pull and copies of disputes and green cards.  I have the first credit report I pulled and I mark off the entries as I have them deleted - this helps show my progress.

I also have soft copies of all correspondence I have sent saved by type (GW, DV, dispute, etc) and then by company name and date sent.

Hope this helps.

Cathleen

Wow- ok. That's using a LOT more folders than I have. LOL. I only have 6 now. I can only imagine how big my stack of folders would be!!

That's a great idea though- seperating the different accounts into different folders. I'd guess it would give me multiple copies of some pages, since I would think it best to include a dispute letter in the individual account folders too, if they've been disputed with the CRAs.

I need to go find the rest of my empty folders so I can start to work!

I think I desperately need to go through the folder on my computer too, and move around all the letters I've written, since they're a big jumbled mess in there too.

Re: How do you all keep your GWs, disputes, etc in order?

I too have a set of soft and hard file folders that I use, but my most useful tool is my spreadsheet. I have each account on a list with each CRA they are reported on. It also shows balances when applicable and the DROP DATE. This is how I plan my attack. I go after the newest first, since they are the most heavily weighted. I then mark each record with what I've done and what the results are. For example one might read "Disp - Verified" then "PFD - denied" then "Resent - Accepted". Then if something is removed from the CR's, I move it to a different area so I too can see my progress. Most people would probably look at this spreadsheet and get a nosebleed, but I love it and it works awesome for me.

A 4" binder organized by Creditor; also have sections for the Credit Bureaus and each active TL. Just hole punch and put in there.

I use folders. One for each of our CRAs (I'm also working on DH's credit) and one for each of our CAs/creditors. I also have a program called Credit Cure (a free program written by one of the members over on CB) which I use to log everything. And I keep a calendar on the wall beside my desk to mark when I send anything and when the response is due by.

I have all of my letters on the computer under credit repair. I then have three folders, for each of the CRAs. All correspondence, green cards, etc. go in there. Finally, I have a spreadsheet, which has all of my accounts from each of the three CRAs. When an item is being worked on in any manner, I italicize it and note what the action is. When it is completed, I bold it and note what the action is. Accounts in good standing have normal font.

Where can I get a copy of Credit Cure?
