How does a landlord pull a credit report?

Does the landlord have to have an account with the three CRA's?  Can it be a soft pull?  How much does it cost, if the landlord only has one tenant?

There are a variety of "tenant screening" services, that you can find via a Google search.

User5387 is correct.  I use a service that allows them to pull the CR's.  I receive a summary type of report.  I remember receiving another version years ago ...more like a pass/fail report.

Prices depend on how much info you want ie background checks.  In So Ca, I pay $27.50 and it doesn't matter how many tenants, you charge for each applicant.

I don't know if its a hp, I never asked the company I use.
