The person filed a case, asking for a judgement against me.
I counterfiled/countersued.
From what I can tell by the dates, the case he filed was picked up within minutes and put on the credit report. On the credit report, it does not show what the status is. (This also means it does not show if he won or not. He lost and had to pay me money.)

Then get a statement from the court clerk stating there was no judgment against you and file disputes with the CRB's. It should be removed,
IOBA--could you clarify? Judgments are not reported until there is a judgment. Just because a case is filed against someone, does not translate into a judgment (as you know!). So nothing should have reported just because the case was filed. Are you saying that a judgment was reported against you just upon the plaintiff filing a case, before the judgment was entered? Or are you saying that the judgment started reporting just about as soon as it was signed by the judge?
If a judgment was reported just because a case was filed, I would write a letter to the CRAs letting them know that their data company is selling them bad information. Getting who the judgment was against wrong is one thing and just a mistake, but reporting a judgment just because a case is filed is kind of a fundamental misunderstanding of the legal system.
The plantiff lost on his original filing (the one listed below) and was NOT awarded any money. I won on my countersuit/file. I was awarded more money than he had filed for.
1. How do I get this off my credit report.
2. How do I ensure it's on HIS credit report.
3. How on earth would someone be able to link this to my credit report -- be able to know it was really me -- based on just a name and an address??
This is what it says....
DISTRICT Docket# xxxxx
I guess I should add that there was no signed contract with this person. So again, how can someone figure out my soc number and link this to me???
