Hi everybody. Kinda new here but I've done a little lurking in the past. Lots of good info here.
I recently (two weeks ago) sent a letter to TU disputing some accounts of mine that showed to have balances, even though they have no balances since the Nov, Dec 2007 time frame. I have no problems with lates, etc and have a good TU FICO score of 789 and I just wanted to correct my TU info. BTW, my TU score of 789 was as of 12/31/07.
Yesterday I received a letter from TU indicating that the balances have been corrected to indicate the actual zero balance status that is correct. How long should I expect to wait to see if the new correct info will have the (hopefully) positive impact on my score? I'm using MyFico Scorewatch and I have checked over the last couple days and the same 789 number is still there. Are changes to a persons FICO score usually indicated every quarter or is it possible to see a change more frequently? Do each of the CU's have different time frames for updating.
I tried my best to look through a number of existing threads to see if this question has been asked before, so my apologies if it has and I just missed it.
Thanks,
Rob
