How long before TU updates their FICO score?

Hi everybody. Kinda new here but I've done a little lurking in the past. Lots of good info here.

I recently (two weeks ago) sent a letter to TU disputing some accounts of mine that showed to have balances, even though they have no balances since the Nov, Dec 2007 time frame. I have no problems with lates, etc and have a good TU FICO score of 789 and I just wanted to correct my TU info. BTW, my TU score of 789 was as of 12/31/07.
Yesterday I received a letter from TU indicating that the balances have been corrected to indicate the actual zero balance status that is correct. How long should I expect to wait to see if the new correct info will have the (hopefully) positive impact on my score? I'm using MyFico Scorewatch and I have checked over the last couple days and the same 789 number is still there. Are changes to a persons FICO score usually indicated every quarter or is it possible to see a change more frequently? Do each of the CU's have different time frames for updating.
I tried my best to look through a number of existing threads to see if this question has been asked before, so my apologies if it has and I just missed it.

Thanks,
Rob

Scorewatch only monitors EQ, not TU. If you want to monitor TU, you'll have to either buy the score or get FICO Quarterly Monitoring.

Hi, Rob, welcome to the forums!

ScoreWatch is monitoring your EQ report, so anything that happens on TU won't do anything at all to ScoreWatch. If your most recent FICO TU score was 789, what is your most recent FICO EQ? It would show on your ScoreWatch reports.

Eek! My bad! I should have said I'm using FICO Quarterly Montoring. Sorry about that.

Should the "Quarterly Monitoring" part be my first clue? Smiley Very Happy  Can I expect any change to be reflected after March then?

If you last pulled 3 months ago, then any change should show when it updates. I think I remember reading a post by another member that you'll get an update within 3-4 days either way of the 3-month date.

Re: How long before TU updates their FICO score?

Thanks HTSU. Like I said, it's not that I was too worried about a score being low and needed to do anything to improve it as much as I just wanted to make sure the info was correct. BTW, the last I checked all three of my scores was last fall sometime and they were all 3 in the higher 700's.

Re: How long before TU updates their FICO score?

Sounds like you're in good shape.

One thing to be aware of: once you get well above 760, say around 780 and above, your scores can take dramatic drops for the tiniest of reasons. You're so far to the right on the bell curve that your scores are very sensitive.

Also, if you get feedback on Quarterly Monitoring with positives and negatives (I've never seen what their display looks like), you might get some pretty ludicrous comments for negatives. They seem to get pretty desperate looking for something to criticize once scores get in the high-altitude ranges. Hope it turns out right!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check my TU number in early April.
