My husband and I recently (about a month ago) payed off all our credit card debt. About how long will it take for our FICO score to start going up (assuming we keep our balances paid in full ea. month)?
You may want to get TC so you can access your reports...Then you can get an idea when the credit card companies have reported in the past...gives you an idea NOT a guarantee when they will report again and when your score will move up.
I know that our credit card companies report once a month (of course at different times throughout the month) but does that mean that ea. month our score will go up a little? (again, assuming we stay current).
You can not be sure the card company will report each month...they are not required to report...and if there is no balance...why? You may have to be proactive and dispute the balance being reported. But you wont know when to do that if you dont see your reports.
