Ive heard that 10 inquiries within the same week can be deleted from your report, is that accurate.

Would 10 inquiries within the one week be automatically reported as just 1 inquiry instead.?

FYI: This only applies to loan apps when rate shopping, not CC apps.  And, in the case of loan rate shopping (and for the same loan type - such as a mortgage or auto), all inquiries will remain on your reports as a record but will be scored as a single inquiry.

You cannot remove hard inquiries unless you declare them fraudulent and proceed with the necessary identity theft steps.

You can't get inquiries deleted unless they're erroneous. If you were rate shopping, your inquiries will only ding you once within a certain time period. That period varies depending on version of score. In the future they will still count as individual inquiries. Luckily, if coded correctly, they shouldn't be hurtful.

Any guess on the time period though.

Typically 2 weeks. Older scores could be a month.

Ok so because I have 8 inquiries in one week and those aren't limited to one should I dispute it?

No. If the inquiries were made, and you OKed them, they are legit and stay. What the poster above meant is that your score will only be affected as if you had one inquiry. You'll take a one-inquiry score hit, not a score hit for each of the eight. But the eight will remain on your reports where they belong.
