How many points?

Hello! I am having some success with getting some things deleted from my credit file. The most recent is a gas bill that was not mine that started reporting in 2002 for $476.00. Does anyone know about how many points I may get from this deletion? Thanks! I really appreciate the help I have received from here!

2002,  it probably doesnt weight as much on your credit because it is so old.  You may gain a couple of points but not too much

Points gained would depend on the age, as mentioned, and also whether or not you have other derogs like this one. If this is your only one, and it is not reporting as a revolving acct, based on 2002, you might see 5-10 points. If you have others, it'll certainly be less.

It's really impossible to say. Could be a negative effect, could be -0-, or could be a windfall. MV had an old derog drop off and gained, I think, +50 points. I had one from 2001 fall off & my TU jumped +30 points.
