How many times can you get your credit report when you are denied.

I was denied a card 7 days ago and it stated that I had 60 days to recieve a free copy of the credit report. I'm thinking about taking the offer, but I would like to know if you can do this multiple times a year?

For exmaple: If I took the offer and then applied for a card in 2 months(and got denied) would I be eligible for a free copy of my report again (or is there a limit to how many times a year you can recieve it)

Thanks.

I think you are entitled to a copy of the credit report(s) used as basis for an adverse action (AA) whenever one happens.

I wouldn't use this as a replacement for a monitoring service (since the inquiries would kill you in the short term), but it seems reasonable to expect that your report would change, and the reasons for AA might be slightly different over the course of the year.

Also remember that your AAs may be related to CRs from different agencies, so you might be denied today based on an Equifax report, and six months from now it's someone pulling Trans-Union. So again, not a replacement for the annual credit report from all three agencies.

No.  You're entitled to receive a free copy of your CR if you've been denied credit, even if you've been denied multiple times a year.   And that has nothing to do with your free annual copy, either.

I can see my Equaifax for free just by acting as if I'm about to dispute something. I can see my Experian as much I want just by viewing my disputes. It's free and up to date in REAL TIME. I don't get to see my score though.

If you do that too much,  you may get cut off. I saw someone posting a month ago about doing that. And it's may not be something that the moderators would want discussed here.
