How often does MyFico Update?

Curious how often MyFico will update my EQ score to see if a change has been made?

Oh yeah, In addition I like to get notifications when it changes so I always set my score alert to my current score.

This. SW alerts don't get triggered by every, single change on a credit report, but you should get an alert any time you have a new inquiry, a new TL, a new derogatory, a significant balance change, or any event that causes your score to go up or down.* In the event of balance changes, you may get two alerts, one for the $$ change and one for the percentage change.

You can control some of these things through your settings.

* Always set your "goal score" to be exactly whatever your present score is. That way you'll get an alert if there's even a one point change. (Yes, it's stupid because your goal score ought to be your goal score, not your present score. But that's how SW is designed. Make sure to reset your "goal score" every time you have any score change.)
