Hi all, The Amtrak credit card best offer is ending sometime middle of October. I’m 4/24 now. I do want that Amtrak card and also I want the Chase Marriott boundless card but I'm not eligible for the bonus until November 1, 2021.
if I get Amtrak card now, how fast that card is reported to my credit report making me 5/24 and disqualify me from chase cards? Thank uou.

If you apply now and are instantly approved, it can likely report within 30 days. There is no guarantee it won't report sooner, though. So, if you decide to apply, you'd be rolling the dice on the reporting.
@ficomember It all depend on the company, the average time is around a month. Some companies take less time, some take more time. I know my Amex took 1 month to report, while my NFCU took almost 2 months to report. Like I said it all depend on the company
Any data points on Bank of America?

The last BoA account that I was approved for (which was a while back) reported in less than 30 days 🤷🏼♂️
I do not have that particular card but I can relay my experience with others. In my case, usually around 1 month after opening. But synchrony was next business day and my Amex blue cash preferred took nearly 2 months.

That was exactly my experience with my first NFCU card earlier this year. I was recently approved for the FlagShip card so it hasn't reported yet. I'm watching my reports to see if it does the same thing as I suspect it will. Actually, I'm sure I will be alerted by a few different products that will say that I have a new alert at one of the bureau's.

+1
I'm not sure how they determine the statement generation date (perhaps @coldfusion knows) but my account didn't have a full 30-day statement once it was opened so once the statement generated (less than 30 days) it reported as the new account with the new statement balance.

I'm not sure if there was a blip last year or what....but I will add that in 2020, my NFCU accounts did not post to my EX for about 6 months. Once they did, they did back-date to when the accounts opened...and though EQ and TU were notified after the statement date, EX was lagging for a considerable time. I asked back then and a few people hadn't heard about it and suggested I call...I wasn't in a hurry for more accounts to post to EX so I never called or inquired. They did hit eventually and now they report timely.
I looked at my credit report alerts. So last I applied for a BoA card on September 30, on Oct 15 that card got reported to my credit report. So it took about two weeks!
So if I applied and approved for the amtrak card, and have to wait for the card to arrive first. That waiting and I don't activate the card when it arrives, will that help buy me some time at all?
